Chicly Elegant Bridal Portraits—with a Sparkle!

Glitz and glamour are on full display with a Jordan Payne Events bride that rocks!

Hand-carved fireplaces, marble floors and beautifully designed interiors with a European flair—sound dreamy? It’s all at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, a longtime Dallas staple, and the wedding scene for one of Jordan’s lovely brides last June. Kiley Trent exchanged vows with her new hubby in a gorgeous setting sparkling with crystal rocks, gems and geodes, which we previously featured here. It was truly a unique celebration, and Jordan brought so much of the design magic to life with acrylic agate seating charts, white quartz and gold-backed leaf boutonnieres, suspended crystals and gold chandeliers, an incredible 24-foot-long table runner made of white florals and more.

To set the tone for the glammed-out big day, Kiley’s bridal portraits were every bit as elegant. She visited the venue for a photo shoot with Dallas-based photographer Thisbe Grace. “We love the history and architectural beauty of the Mansion,” says Jordan. “There’s so much texture, natural landscape and boldness.”

The blushing bride wore an elegant Hayley Paige gown, and we simply couldn’t take our eyes off the incredible crystal bolero she chose. Talk about sparkle envy! It was also perfectly fitting with her wedding’s overall theme—her father, Matthew Trent, is a prominent Dallas jeweler and there was no shortage of shine at the big day fete. Dallas-based florist David Kimmel crafted a beautiful bouquet for Kiley’s portraits, which he made with white peonies, fresh greenery and even striking anemone blossoms and golden branches for a modern twist. The neutral colors were the perfect accoutrement to the timeless backdrop at the Mansion.

Because springtime was in full effect, Kiley was able to take photos both indoors and out—capitalizing on Rosewood Mansion’s crisp green foliage and budding courtyard settings. Bridal portraits are often taken fairly close to the wedding date, often planned around weather but sometimes driven by the dress arrival as well! Though even in winter months, the outdoors needn’t be “out” of the question. “We can scout a location to get some pretty outdoor shots with evergreen or stunning scenery,” says Jordan. Whether it’s the planned venue for the wedding, a place that’s of sentimental value or simply a setting that boasts incredible scenic views, Jordan encourage brides most of all to relax and enjoy the moment. It’s her time to shine!
