There’s just something crisp, clean and sophisticated about a blue and white color palette, made all the more elegant when paired with sophisticated neutrals like ivory, Champagne and golden accents. And since the blue-and-white combo was a favorite of the bride’s, Jordan used it as the inspiration for the entire look of Kristin and Jered’s Midland-area wedding. The couple exchanged vows on a cool evening in November 2016 at the First United Methodist Church before unveiling their incredible, jaw-dropping reception scene hosted inside a custom-made tent on the Midland Country Club grounds.
The bride beamed in a light blush toned strapless Romona Keveza gown with custom ivory ribbon detailing from The Bridal Salon at Neiman Marcus in Dallas, which she paired with sparkling, crystal-encrusted heels by Rene Caovilla—and a spritz of her favorite Valentino fragrance. Her accessories perfectly matched the style of the couple’s gorgeous invitations, which set the tone for the event with gold and blue script and a unique customized monogram logo. The bride’s ring resembled the very same feel as the wedding—an elegant, Old World flair with charm and poise meshed with a modern vibe and a touch of gold.
Kristin stayed close to the big day plans as they progressed, having already become familiar with Jordan’s process when Jordan produced her sister Lindsay’s wedding in 2014! “Kristin loves blue and white and decided she wanted to go with this palette after the blue and white tabletop I had designed,” says Jordan of the Indigo Beauty shoot we featured that showcased a dynamic blue and white-themed table setting.
From the stamps nestled into the corner of the outgoing invitations to the menu cards to the programs, the stationary stayed close to the blue-toned floral motif. Jordan artfully pulled it into so many details throughout the event, including pretty cerulean wine glasses, floral accent plates and even toile-style table linens. She also teamed up with Joy Macarons to produce custom sweet treats using design elements straight from the invitation suite. Other unique highlights included an on-site artist who created a painting of the picturesque scene right there in the tented reception as the festivities kicked off! And personal touches were in no shortage, like the wedding’s signature cocktail, Colorado Bulldog—a mixture of Kahlua, vodka and cream with a splash of soda—which was the drink the newlyweds met over, quite literally, in Colorado.
We’ll leave you with a sneak peek of the amazing reception set-up, seen in the photo above of the beautiful couple. Stay tuned for our next post, which will feature so many of the wonderful details from their gorgeous wedding! In the meantime, we’ll be trying our hand at that Colorado Bulldog recipe…
